SCHOLARSHIPS

1. President's Award Scholarship - applicable towards tuition for any major at The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College. A $2,500* award is presented to the winner in each of the following categories:
   

   •  Academic Excellence
     

   •  Community Service
     

   •  Improvement in Academic Performance
     

   •  Leadership

2. School of Management Scholarship - $2,500*, $2,000*, $1,500* applicable towards tuition for either Hotel or Restaurant Management majors at The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College. the three awards are presented to students intending to pursue management career in the hospitality industry. Candidates must have G.P.A. of 2.5+ and a class in the top 40%.

All scholarship candidates must provide:

•  Typed essay of 200+ words on the topic specified in the scholarship booklet.

•  Recommendation form completed by a teacher, counselor, or employer as specified in the scholarship booklet.

•  Copy of your high school transcript, 9th grade to present.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE GRANT

1. The Academic Excellence Grant is awarded to those students who meet the following criteria:
   

   •  Graduating in June, 2004
     

   •  Attain a cumulative high school GPA of 2.50 or higher.
     

   •  Earn a combined SAT score of 900 or above.
     

   •  Class rank in the top 50%

   Students receive a $1,000* grant to be used to books, uniforms or equipment.

* Students will receive half of their scholarship or grant award for the first academic year provided they maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
